In fact the landmark site can be traced back to 1912 when the Langdon family founded a garage and a few years later a forecourt filling station on the site.
The iconic forecourt petrol pumps and attendants have gone being no longer viable, but the family have continued to invest in the facility, equipment and workforce and have seen the business prosper and grow during some challenging economic conditions.
Bentley’s is very much an owner managed business, now under the stewardship of John Bentley, the second generation of family ownership to run the business. Like many other independent small businesses, Bentley’s must provide exceptional service and John and his team have worked hard to keep Bentley’s as the first port of call for local people and businesses looking for the highest standard of garage services or a change in vehicle.
The garage has a thriving workshop providing commercial and private vehicle maintenance and servicing, an MOT test station and is well known across the region for providing high quality, reliable, low mileage second-hand cars from their three showrooms.
With a strong tradition of family values and with customer care at the forefront of their service, the business has an enviable reputation with its customers of providing a first class service in everything they do. They were also chosen as an RAC approved dealer for East Devon, so all vehicles sold come with an RAC inspection and a comprehensive RAC warranty.
